About The Team

The Systems Sales Engineer role will be part of the Client Engagement team at Nutanix, based in Toronto. This team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a customer-centric approach, focusing on workloads to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs. The team promotes continuous learning and open communication, aiming to be leaders in customer solutions.

You will report to the System Engineer Manager, who encourages a collaborative leadership style and values hands-on experience. The role is primarily remote with the expectation to travel to Toronto approximately twice a month to meet client needs and for team gatherings. Applicants should reside within the Greater Toronto Area to foster strong client relationships and effective collaboration.

Your Role

  1. Engage in technical discussions with clients to understand their needs and present solutions.
  2. Collaborate with team members for knowledge sharing and project development.
  3. Assist in onboarding new hires and participate in training sessions.
  4. Connect technical topics with business objectives for CXO-level discussions.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  6. Travel to Toronto approximately twice a month.
  7. Obtain relevant certifications to enhance professional qualifications.
  8. Develop public speaking and negotiation skills within the first year.

What You Will Bring

  1. 3 to 5 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
  2. Knowledge of containers, microservices, and Kubernetes.
  3. Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  4. Experience with infrastructure management, storage solutions, databases, and networking.
  5. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  6. Project management experience.
  7. Knowledge of AI is a plus.

The pay range at start is CAD $162,400 to CAD $243,600 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel as needed. The company reserves the right to modify compensation and benefits, and the application deadline is 40 days from posting, subject to extension or early removal if filled.
