Skyline Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Estimator for civil construction in the Edmonton area. This permanent, full-time role involves leading estimates for a range of infrastructure projects, collaborating with estimating, project management and operations teams to develop pricing and competitive tender submissions.

The position is primarily office-based, offering varied projects, opportunities for career progression and a strong team environment in Edmonton.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in civil construction.
• Ability to independently manage estimates from start to finish.
• Experience pricing using contractor’s own crews and equipment.

Responsabilités

• Lead civil construction estimates from tender review through to submission.
• Review drawings, specs and contract documents to identify scope requirements.
• Complete detailed quantity takeoffs and develop labour, equipment and material pricing.
• Establish crew requirements, production rates and construction durations.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Work with operations to assess methods, resources and risks.
• Identify scope gaps, pricing opportunities and cost savings.
• Manage multiple estimates and meet tender deadlines.
• Support handover of bids to project delivery teams.
• Provide guidance to less experienced estimators.
