Job summary

Image Engine in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a CG Supervisor to lead the technical strategy and ensure high-quality digital effects on feature films and television. You will define the show's methodology and collaborate with the VFX Supervisor, development, and pipeline teams to deliver exceptional results.

You will mentor juniors, build consensus across departments, and optimize render performance while maintaining project pipelines and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CG experience in high-end film
• 2 years of experience as a Supervisor
• Demonstrated leadership in setting direction for a production

Responsibilities

• Be the primary technical leadership on the project
• Define the methodology to be used on the project
• Collaborate with Production to gather required client information
• Provide technical solutions for effective task completion
• Define future technology direction at Image Engine
• Maintain show-specific configuration files and scripts
• Identify and implement tools that automate production tasks
• Communicate client notes and deliver feedback to VFX Supervisor and artists
• Assess and optimize resource usage
• Assist in debugging shots and optimizing for efficiency
• Mentor juniors throughout productions
• Build consensus across departments to improve efficiency
• Be an expert in tools and pipeline at Image Engine
