The Real Assets Engineering Team is looking for a Lead Business Analyst with experience in data analysis and workflow design. The successful candidate will be experienced in working closely with business partners to gather and document detailed requirements and help iteratively provide solutions. This position requires someone with high attention to detail, ownership, and strong analytical & problem-solving skills. The candidate is expected to possess working knowledge in data analytics and financial reporting, coupled with the ability to translate business requirements into solutions. The position also requires experience in SQL to create efficient queries and/or views to support the building of reports within the Real Assets suite of applications.

Accountabilities:

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions. Document and validate results with subject matter experts and drive the creation of strong system specifications that enable the development and/or acquisition of appropriate systems to meet business requirements.
• Build current and target state process design flows, identifying efficiencies and leveraging the capability of digital resources.
• Liaise with engineers, solution architects, and business subject matter experts to brainstorm and document innovative solution alternatives. Evaluate alternatives relative to business requirements and provide guidance that is rooted in solid subject matter expertise.
• Lead process design meetings and translate outcomes into process documentation. Conduct process walkthroughs and validation with business subject matter experts. Document key risks, mitigating controls, performance measures, cost drivers, and business continuity plans for processes.
• Lead and participate in testing activities to ensure that the deliverables meet business requirements.
• Lead change management, user adoption, and training efforts for new processes or applications.
• Engage in production issue resolution, including conducting root cause analysis, by coordinating internally and externally.
• Participate in the scrum master role rotation within the team, facilitating scrum ceremonies, removing roadblocks, and promoting effective communication and collaboration within the team.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and project deliverables. Generate reports and updates for stakeholders, executive leadership, and project sponsors to communicate project status, risks, and issues.

Minimum qualifications include:

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, working directly with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams in the financial/investment industry.
• 5+ years of experience with relational database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server, AWS Athena). Proficiency with SQL is required.
• Experience as a Scrum Master is a plus.
• Skills in data mapping, blending, and ETL design using programming languages.
• Ability to develop Data Visualizations using Python and/or Tableau is a plus.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Visualization, or relevant discipline with a strong quantitative background.
• Strong process development skills and understanding of project lifecycle and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
