AIMCo, Canada’s leading investment manager, invites a seasoned Business Analyst to join the Front Office Technology & Business Delivery team in Calgary. You will translate business needs into actionable requirements, drive technology-enabled change, and collaborate with investment and technology stakeholders to deliver value across the investment lifecycle.

You will mentor junior analysts, contribute to Agile/DevOps initiatives, and build strong partnerships with Portfolio Managers, Traders,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
8+ years of Business Analysis experience in investment management, capital markets, pension funds, or financial services.
Experience delivering technology solutions across the full delivery lifecycle.
Strong requirements gathering, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience with Agile/DevOps frameworks and backlog refinement, sprint planning, and dependency management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with investment, risk, operations, and technology stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Support initiatives from business case development through design, testing, implementation, and deployment.
Lead small to medium-sized initiatives and contribute to larger enterprise programs.
Perform root cause analysis, identify process improvements, and recommend technology solutions.
Create and maintain user stories, process documentation, and product backlogs.
Collaborate within an Agile/DevOps delivery model to support successful business outcomes.
Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
