Job description

The Lead Behavior Therapist (LBT) is responsible for assisting the supervising Sr. Behaviour Consultant/Behaviour Analyst (BCBA/RBA) with the implementation of assessments, program development, and supervision of ABA treatment programs for youth and adults with dual-diagnosis, ASD, other developmental disabilities, or other learning and behaviour needs. The position also supports the supervision of the treatment team assigned to each client’s case to help ensure that Monarch House provides high-quality evidence-based services.

The Behavior Consultant (BC)/Lead Behavior Therapist (LBT) may also assist with the completion of client reports and other supervisory responsibilities as appropriate. At times, the LBT may also be responsible for the direct implementation of ABA programs with clients under the supervision of the Senior Behaviour Consultant/Behaviour Analyst (BCBA/RBA).

Job Details

• Job Type: Part-time
• Salary: $52,000-$65,000
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 11AM - 8PM and 9AM-5PM Saturdays
• Work setting: Community and centre based across the GTA. Travel is expected within this role.

Daily Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct comprehensive (intensive) assessment and treatment sessions in the community.
• Provide support based on client, clinic, and community needs, including direct implementation of programming as directed by BCBA/RBA and oversight of client programming with support from BCBA/RBA.
• Collect and graph data.
• Maintain client data and materials.
• Ensure treatment integrity.
• Maintain daily written communication logs with family and other staff.
• Demonstrate therapy sessions to families and other professionals as required.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Uphold Centre policies and procedures.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, online courses, etc., as set out by Monarch House.

Qualifications for Success

• At least 1 year of experience as an ABA Therapist for adults with complex behaviors.
• Positive attitude, organized, and passionate about learning.
• Enrolled in a master's degree in applied Behaviour Analysis.
• Experience working in community settings is considered an asset.
• A reliable vehicle and driver's license.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
