Job summary

Aspire Bakeries, Ancaster, ON, is hiring a Lead, Bakery-Maintenance to lead the maintenance team for bakery equipment and plant systems. You will oversee daily maintenance, ensure safety, GMP, and quality standards, and support reliable operation on 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualified candidates have 5–7 years in industrial maintenance, a valid trade licence, and experience reading blueprints. The role offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a leading North American bakery

Qualifications

• Valid trade licence(s).
• 5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing or high‑speed production.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Demonstrated leadership experience coaching and developing maintenance employees.
• Working knowledge of CMMS, preventive maintenance programs, GMPs, food safety, quality, and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop maintenance team members to support operational performance and employee growth.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to meet production and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize reliability and uptime.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.
• Promote compliance with health and safety, GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and improve plant performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and maintenance planning.
