Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited is seeking a Foreperson to lead a crew across weekly job sites, ensuring work is done safely, on time, and to a high standard.

You will mentor team members and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering an outstanding customer experience. Qualifications include Arborist experience, ISA certification or enrollment, a valid provincial driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as an Arborist.
• ISA certification or enrollment in an arboriculture program.
• Valid provincial driver’s license; 5-ton vehicle license considered an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
• Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks.
• Responsible to supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Removal of hazardous trees.
• Provide expert tree trimming services and inspections to client properties.
• Manage customer service expectations.
• Maintain Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.
