Job summary

Porter Airlines is seeking a Lead ACA to guide a team of technicians in a line maintenance environment at Toronto Pearson (YYZ). You will address aircraft defects, coordinate with MOC and Operations, and ensure on-time task completion and serviceability.

Candidates should have post-secondary education, a TC AME M2 or E license, and be able to obtain airside security clearance. Endorsements on DHC-8-400 or Embraer E2 are assets; experience at Pearson is a plus.

Job Summary

The Lead, ACA is responsible for leading a team of technicians in a line maintenance environment to address aircraft defects and operational events in a timely and equitable manner. Communication about task completion and aircraft serviceability to the supervisor or MOC is also a key element to this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that all maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals and Transport Canada requirements
• Maintain an AME M2 or E license and ACA qualifications on company aircraft and assume the responsibilities of an ACA if the operation requires support
• Liaise with MOC and Operations to schedule overnight work packages, hangar availability, and gate movements
• Responsible for all Apprentices, AME’s, and ACA’s for the delegation and timely completion of assigned tasks
• Assist with ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, generating logs for any equipment that requires repair
• Responsible to ensure the consumable materials and tooling stored in the hangar and service vehicles are maintained in a neat and tidy manner
• Responsible to assist with AOG maintenance system wide by providing workforce ability when required
• Ensure the hangar work areas, terminal work areas and service vehicles are kept clean in an effort to maintain a safe work environment
• Utilize the SMS reporting program for any hazards or incidents that may occur
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership role
• Transport Canada issued AME M2 or E license
• DHC-8-400 and/or Embraer E2 endorsements an asset
• Experience at Toronto Pearson Airport an asset
• Well organized, detail oriented and able to work autonomously
• Proven self-starter with good time management skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to obtain airside security clearance
• No criminal record as per Transport Canada and the Canadian Aviation RegulationsValid G driver’s license
