Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Napanee, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Powerhouse Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of all stationary plant equipment. You will lead engineering staff, monitor safety and compliance, and ensure efficient performance to meet production goals.

This role requires a 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certification and 3–5 years of experience. You will work a continental shift schedule, with on-call duties to support plant reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Oversee operation and maintenance of stationary engineering equipment to minimize downtime and support safety, quality, production and cost goals.
• Provide leadership and technical expertise to ensure safe and economical operation within established limits.
• Must possess or maintain 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certification and relevant provincial certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of boilers, HVAC, and related systems.
• Supervise safety and efficiency of powerhouse equipment and controls.
• Stay compliant with QS and Environmental Health & Safety documentation.
• Communicate with engineering leadership and other teams professionally.
• Cover 24-hour on-call duties for boiler emergencies when required.
