Job summary

Bison Transport Inc is seeking an experienced Owner-Operator for long-haul runs between Canada and the U.S. The role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus and a schedule with 5 to 10 days out per trip, averaging 10,000 to 12,000 miles per month. Expect 24 days on the road monthly and potential coverage of scheduled runs as needed.

Bunk truck may be required and candidate must be eligible to drive in the U.S. Schedules are flexible with all shifts including weekends; regional freight will be required and

Qualifications

• 24 months tractor trailer experience required.
• Valid Class 1/AZ license.
• Eligible to drive in the U.S.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable LCV experience including winter conditions.
• BC Mountain experience preferred.
• Must haul all commodities including meat and alcohol.
• Must drive Highway 17 in Ontario year-round.
• Must drive U.S. mountains year-round.
• Must lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Regional freight will be required
• Flexible schedule, all shifts include working Saturday and Sunday

Candidate Profile:

• Experienced Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor trailer experience
• Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license
• Bunk Truck will be required
• Must be eligible to drive in the U.S.
• Must have a minimum of 6-months verifiable LCV experience including operating during winter conditions
• BC Mountain experience is preferred
• Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
• Must be able to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year
• Must be able to drive U.S. Mountains 12 months a year
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
