Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking an experienced Owner-Operator for long-haul Canada/US runs with a focus on LCV operations. This role involves managing 10,000–12,000 miles monthly, including regional freight and occasional weekend work.

Eligible drivers have a valid Class 1/AZ license and at least 24 months of tractor-trailer experience. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires with readiness for winter conditions and meat/alcohol hauling.

Qualifications

• At least 24 months tractor-trailer experience.
• Must hold a valid Class 1/AZ license.
• Experience hauling specific commodities (meat/alcohol) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate LCV on Canada/US routes when available.
• Southbound freight to lower 48 states.
• On-road resets as required; schedule may include weekends.
• Regional freight duties may apply; cover scheduled runs as needed.

Job description

$3000 Sign on Bonus. Get Paid On Time. Every Time. This position runs 5 to 10 days out and averages 10,000 to 12,000 miles per month.

• Running LCV open board and Canada/US long-haul when LCV is not available.
• Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states
• Resets on the road as required
• 24 days on the road per month
• Might be asked to cover scheduled runs as Operationally needed for a period of time up to 4 weeks
• Regional freight will be required
• Flexible schedule, all shifts include working Saturday and Sunday
• Turnpike pay-package applies

Candidate Profile:

• Experienced Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor trailer experience
• Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license
• Bunk Truck will be required
• Must be eligible to drive in the U.S.
• Must have a minimum of 6-months verifiable LCV experience including operating during winter conditions
• BC Mountain experience is preferred
• Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
• Must be able to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year
• Must be able to drive U.S. Mountains 12 months a year
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
