Job summary

BWXT Canada Ltd. is seeking an experienced Layout Technician to join our Cambridge, ON production team. The role focuses on layout work across different materials, with emphasis on accuracy and safety in a heavy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have advanced blueprint reading skills, at least 5 years of fitting experience, and preference for prior layout experience. Shifts include Days, Afternoons, or Weekend days, with pay according to progression.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of blueprint reading.
• Minimum 5 years fitting experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Previous layout experience would be an asset.
• Demonstrate ability to perform complex mathematical calculations in relation to positional dimensions for products and tooling
• Must be available to work any of the listed shifts.

Layout

Hourly rate: $43.40 - Fully Qualified (starts at Learner 1: $36.89/hr; Learner 2: $39.06/hr; Learner 3: $41.23) Progression based on merit not hours.

We have opportunities for skilledLayout to join our production team at our facility in CAMBRIDGE, ON. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada's success and in ensuring we meet our customers' quality, cost and delivery expectations.

  • Afternoons: 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Mon - Thurs) OR;
  • Weekend days: 6:0 a.m. - 5:0 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours).
