Job summary

Moser Landscape Group in Waterloo Region is seeking a Foreman or Crew Leader to guide a 3-5 person team across commercial properties. You’ll supervise daily tasks, ensure safety and quality, and communicate with the field supervisor to adjust plans as needed.

Responsibilities include site inspections, pruning and maintenance work, and suggesting efficiency upgrades to the Estimating department. Must hold a G license and be capable of operating standard site equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage time and routes without sacrificing quality.
• Experience leading a crew of 3-5 workers.
• Clean driving record with a G license or above.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Seasonal lawn maintenance (Apr–Nov) and snow removal (Dec–Mar).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the work crew to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
• Complete digital work and safety/inspection records.
• Inspect sites for garden beds, vegetation, pruning and maintenance.
• Coordinate with field supervisor for daily adjustments.
• Recommend upgrades to Estimating for value and efficiency.
• Operate power equipment as listed and transport tasks as needed.
• Lead from the front and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Job description

As a Foreman or Crew Leader, you’ll lead your crew by example. As a team, you’ll be maintaining some of the best commercial properties in our region.

What Your Days Look Like

• Supervise the work crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity
• Completion of digital work and safety/inspection records
• Property inspection of garden bed weeding, vegetation control, shrub and hedge pruning, and general maintenance of sites
• Work directly with the field supervisor for adjustments needed to your day
• Recommend upgrades and enhancements to Estimating department that bring value and efficiency to sites
• Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, stand-on mowers, walker mowers, line trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers
• Cut grass, trim edges, blow trimmings
