Position Summary

Location: 4950 Younge St Suite 2400, North York, ON M2N 6K1

Employment type: Full-time Permanent

Reporting to: General Counsel

Telework: Possibility for hybrid work (2 days remote/week) after completion of probationary period

Your Mission

Colas Canada Inc. is building a solid legal support team at its Toronto head office, providing support to subsidiaries across provinces. The Legal and Compliance Department oversees legal support at the subsidiary level. This role will support the legal team and help organize an efficient database for corporate records, insurance renewals, and Ethics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supporting legal and compliance departments with corporate, reporting, and transactional work, including managing corporate books and records, completing reports and filings, conducting research, organizing databases, preparing meetings, and maintaining contract and compliance documentation.
  • Creating reports, developing case file systems, monitoring regulatory changes, communicating with internal and external parties, and assisting with ethics and compliance training.
Your Profile
  • Completion of an accredited Law Clerk Program with experience in corporate law (4-6 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance and commercial law.
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and adaptability to new software.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Considered Assets
  • Bilingual French and English.
  • Experience with commercial or real estate transactions.
