Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Assemble documentary evidence in preparation for trial
  • Coordinate administrative services
  • Draft contracts, prepare promissory notes, and draw up wills, mortgages, and other legal documents
  • Handle probate to certify the validity of a will
  • Interview clients, witnesses, and other related parties
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems
  • Prepare wills, real estate transactions, and other legal documents, court reports, and affidavits
  • Receive affidavits, declarations, and affirmations
  • Witness and certify the validity of signatures on documents
  • Collect and record administrative and service fees
  • Draft legal correspondence
  • Call courts of law to order, read charges, and take pleas from defendants
