SCOPE OFPOSITION: Responsible for general laundry duties asassigned. These may include the sorting, loading, and folding of laundry anddelivering to units. Maintains a regular cleaning schedule of laundry area

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum completion of Grade Twelve (12) required
• Knowledge and ability to operate and use institutional laundryequipment
• Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis
• Must be comfortable working around seniors

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the processing of all linens and personal laundryitems includes collecting, sorting, and folding etc.
• Responsible to use industrial washers and dryers according toguidelines
• Maintains laundry stocks and delivers lines to the neighbourhoods
• Responsible for the routine cleaning of all laundry equipment
• Replenishes supplies
• Reports defective equipment or linens to the Facility SupportManager
• Is familiar with facility Policies and Procedures, Fire and Safety,and Emergency procedures and carries out guidelines of same
• Attends staff education sessions as required
• Performs other related duties as required

Salary Range:

In accordance withcurrent collective agreement between Ocean View Continuing Care Centre and C.U.P.E.Local 1245.

Rotation:
