Job Description

Laundry Attendant - Mӧvenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba

The Laundry Attendant all relevant activities in the field of Laundry and to maintain all guest and employees’ linens clean tidy, cleanliness of the Machines as well as other areas assigned to him/her, to provide efficient, personalized, courteous and punctual service and to work with a team spirit to ensure that each guest leaves the Resort fully satisfied. This should be proceeded always with due regard to execution and maintenance of our operational policies and standards international and domestic.

In performing these duties, he/she shall always maintain good relations with his/her supervisor, the Department Heads and supervisors as well as with the local authorities and other key persons.

SCOPE

To follow all the instructions of the supervisor and make sure that every effort is made to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain a high standard of service

General

  • Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate can perform
  • Keep the laundry clean and dust equipment at the end of every shift
  • Stacks clean the flat iron
  • Keep linen room clean & organized.
  • Must attend all scheduled training and on the job training sessions.
  • Ensure the highest level of personal hygiene; uniform is worn in the correct and cleanliness manner.
  • Always conduct himself in a professional and forthright manner
  • Performs duties common to all no-supervisory personnel and other duties as may be assigned
  • Promotes good employee relations

People Management

  • Maintain a climate of trust and team spirit though out the operation

Leadership

  • Providing excellent self-discipline, gains respect from all and inspires good teamwork
  • Leading by example

Guest Satisfaction

  • To attain and follow up on any guest complaints
  • Guest suggestions must be listened to and brought to the laundry manager’s attention

Fire, Life, Health and Security

  • Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures

Qualifications

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
