Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our team in Vancouver. You will perform laundry services, clean and distribute linens to clients, and ensure items are sorted, washed, dried, and stored according to approved procedures.

The role requires physical fitness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, following written and verbal instructions. We offer benefits and a supportive work culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housekeeping and/or laundry or equivalent training is an asset.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Able to operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, linen press, and clothing labeler.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Physically able to carry out duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens
  • Transport supplies to include clean and soiled linen to the appropriate storage and collection areas
  • Routinely inspect linens for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn linens and following Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens
  • Maintain the commercial and residential laundry rooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition

Job description

The hourly wage rate for this position is $24.34 - (base pay+SSO wage*)*Base 18.85 + 6.09/hr SSO wage) *Single Site Order (SSO) is subject to the direction of government and may be discontinued at any time.

How You Will Make An Impact

You will be responsible for performing laundry services including cleaning and distributing linens to clients.

As a Laundry Aide, You Will
  • Properly sort, wash and dry linens following the approved laundry procedures
  • Fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Collect soiled linens along with redistributing clean linens

About You
