Responsibilities

• Set up and operate both manual and CNC lathes to machine components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and job orders.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Load materials, monitor machining operations, and make adjustments to tooling and offsets as needed.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile Lathe Operator with experience in both manual lathes and CNC lathes. The ideal candidate will be able to set up, operate, and maintain both types of equipment to produce precision components to exact specifications. You will work from technical drawings, ensure quality control, and maintain high production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate both manual lathes and CNC lathes to machine metal and plastic components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
• Select cutting tools, adjust feeds/speeds, and perform turning, facing, threading, and boring operations.
• Load materials, monitor machining operations, and make adjustments to tooling and offsets as needed.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
