Job summary

Randstad Canada is hiring a Laser cutting operator to join a client focused on sports apparel customization and retail experiences. The role requires operating Trotect SP 1500 or PS400 lasers, using CAD/CorelDRAW for file edits, and ensuring quality through inspections. Evening shift with competitive pay and benefits is offered.

Location: North York, ON. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM. The contract is 3–4 months with potential extension or full-time for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in Trotect SP 1500 or PS400 operation and CAD/CorelDRAW software.
• At least 1 year of experience in an industrial laser cutting environment.
• Ability to perform dimensional inspections and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
• Competence in adjusting laser focal points and stop locations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• English proficiency and strong collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Trotect SP 1500 or PS400 laser equipment to meet design specifications.
• Utilize CAD and CorelDRAW software for file creation and modification.
• Calibrate machinery and adjust parameters for specific material requirements.
• Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance to maintain operational standards.
• Document material usage, production output, and equipment status.
