Job summary

CSL Group is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Foreman to lead a crew and keep properties pristine. You will oversee day-to-day landscaping tasks, ensure safety and efficiency, and deliver high-quality results on time.

This full-time role requires leadership, a love for landscaping, and hands-on management. You’ll work outdoors year-round in Whitby, Ontario, handling seasonal duties including winter snow and ice management as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of landscaping and/or construction experience.
• College diploma in landscaping or related field.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills—your crew will look up to you.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, daily log sheets).
• Good eye for detail and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead your crew, ensure safety, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Maintain properties: grass-cutting, repairs, painting, and upkeep.
• Identify opportunities to improve properties’ look and value.
• Communicate with clients and keep them satisfied.
• Operate equipment: tractors, skid steers, and mowing gear.
• Train and coach team to bring out best performance.
• Keep detailed reports and logs for accountability.
• Seasonal shift to snow and ice management during winter.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading your crew and making sure everyone is working efficiently and safely
• Keeping properties in top shape—grass-cutting, painting, repairs, and more
• Identifying opportunities to enhance properties and make them look even better
• Communicating with clients and keeping them happy
• Handling equipment like tractors, skid steers, and grass-cutting gear like a pro
• Training and coaching your team to bring out their best
• Keeping detailed reports because paperwork is part of the gig too
• Rolling with the seasons—when winter hits, you’ll shift gears into snow and ice management

What You Need to Bring:

• 2-3 years of experience in landscaping and/or construction
• A college diploma in landscaping or a related field (bonus points!)
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills—your crew will look up to you!
• A valid driver’s license
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, daily log sheets)
• A good eye for detail and a “get it done” attitude

What to Expect:

• You’ll be working outdoors year-round—sun, rain, or snow, we’re out there!
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (think bags of mulch, not boulders)
• Some overtime and travel may be required
• Safety gear is a must—steel‑toed boots, safety glasses, and all that good stuff

This is a full-time, year-round position, so when the grass stops growing, we keep busy with winter duties (snow removal, ice management, etc.).
