Job summary

Bushwood Golf Club in Markham, Ontario is seeking an experienced equipment operator to maintain grounds and assist with construction tasks. You will operate bobcats, skid steers, mini excavators, augers, trenchers, and tractors, and use a transit to set elevations.

Must have 5+ years of equipment experience, 3+ years with chainsaws, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. Knowledge of mechanical systems and strict adherence to Health & Safety policies are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience operating landscape/construction equipment as listed.
• Able to use a transit to determine elevations.
• Experience installing wooden posts or metal poles and pouring concrete.
• Prior framing/building experience is required or advantageous.
• Minimum three years operating a chainsaw; license is an asset.
• Experience operating a lift is an asset.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds comfortably.
• Any mechanical knowledge is an asset.
• Must adhere to Health & Safety Policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate landscape/construction equipment including bobcats, skid steers, and tractors.
• Use transit to determine elevations for site work.
• Install wooden posts or metal poles and pour concrete when needed.
• Frame and build structures as part of project tasks.
• Operate a chainsaw; ensure safe handling and maintenance.
• Position and operate a lift when required.
• Adhere to Health & Safety Policies at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Minimum of five years' experience operating landscape/construction equipment: bobcats/skid steers, mini excavators, augers, trenchers and tractors in the workplace
• Able to use a transit to determine elevations
• Experience in installing wooden posts or metal poles and pouring concrete
• Prior experience in framing and building structures
• Minimum of three years of experience operating a chainsaw in the workplace
• Valid Chainsaw license is an asset
• Experience operating a lift is an asset
• Able to comfortably lift 40 pounds
• Any mechanical knowledge is an asset
• Must adhere to the company's Health & Safety Policies
• Shifts are 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday
