National Capital Commission is seeking a landscape architect to deliver professional services across all project stages within the Multi Year Capital Program. You will work with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams on site analysis, planning, design development, contract documents, and coordination with internal and external parties.
You will handle defined project components with increasing autonomy under direction.
These positions are classified at the RÉ-05 level (salary range from $77,281 to $102,535 per annum – under review).
A list of qualified candidates may be compiled and may be used for additional temporary or indeterminate positions.
Under the guidance of a senior landscape architect or project manager, you will provide professional landscape architecture services in support of the NCC’s Multi Year Capital Program and other approved programs. Working within multidisciplinary teams and established project management frameworks, you will contribute landscape architecture expertise throughout all phases of project delivery, including site analysis, planning, design development, contract documentation, coordination with internal and external parties and implementation support. You will be responsible for defined project components, exercising increasing autonomy, while continuing work under senior professional direction.
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in landscape architecture or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Three to eight years of experience providing professional services in landscape architecture.
Must be licensed/registered as a professional member in landscape architecture in Ontario or Quebec and with the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.
Regular site visits are required, involving remaining upright and mobile on uneven ground and as required, the use of personal protective equipment such as hard hats, high-visibility vests, gloves, glasses and safety shoes.
