TC Energy in Calgary is seeking a Land Analyst to support the administration of our operational land rights portfolio across Canada. The role focuses on land data management, road use agreements, and stakeholder coordination, reporting to the Manager, Land Rights Management.

The successful candidate will bring 7+ years in surface land administration, a degree in Land Administration or a related field, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in surface land administration including road use.
  • University degree or diploma in Land Administration or related field.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (SharePoint, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of land registry procedures.
  • Knowledge of AER and CER requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update land records, including road use agreements.
  • Audit files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Acquire permanent land rights for operational needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on complex land items.
  • Register and discharge encumbrances on title.

Connect to what matters.The OpportunityThe Land Rights Management team within the Canada Land Department is seeking a Land Analyst based in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, Land Rights Management, the successful candidate will support the administration and management of TC Energy's operational land rights portfolio across Canada.This role is primarily responsible for land data and road use management, stakeholder support, and the processing of operational land requests. The ideal candidate brings strong land administration experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.What You'll DoEnter and update land records, including road use agreements, in the Pandell land management systemAudit files turned over to Operations to ensure accuracy and completenessAcquiring permanent land rights (freehold and crown) as required for operational purposesWork collaboratively with internal teams to solution complex land right itemsRegister and discharge encumbrances on titleProvide guidance and support to Land Service ProvidersReview and process third-party requests, including road use requestsPayment processing, including road use invoicesPerform tasks with limited oversight and resolve issues using established guidelines, procedures and policies, within level of accountabilitySupport or lead land-related projects or initiativesMinimum Qualifications7 or more years of experience in surface land administration, including road useUniversity degree or diploma in Land Administration or a related fieldPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with land systemPrevious work experience at a Land Service Provider is considered an assetProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Word, and ExcelSound knowledge of land registry proceduresKnowledge of AER and CER legislative and regulatory requirementsTo remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-HybridAbout our businessWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
