Job summary

Canfor’s J.D. Little Forest Centre in Prince George, BC is hiring a Seasonal Nursery Worker. This full-time temporary position runs about 7-10 weeks starting October 2026.

You will help harvest and bundle tree seedlings from greenhouses and support reforestation efforts across BC and Alberta. You should be a friendly, flexible team player with safety awareness, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Load tree blocks onto wagons or conveyors.

• Package seedlings neatly into designated boxes.
• Palletize boxes for storage and organize workspace.
• Dispose of waste and maintain a clean work area.

Job description

Location: Prince George, BC, Canada; Position: Full-time temporary role (about 7-10 weeks) starting October 2026. The J.D. Little Forest Centre produces seedlings to support Canfor's extensive reforestation program throughout British Columbia and Alberta. As a Seasonal Nursery Worker, you will provide essential support to the J.D. Little Forest Centre, gaining horticultural knowledge while assisting in the harvesting of tree seedlings from our greenhouses.

You are a friendly and flexible team player, always looking on the bright side. You understand instructions, ask good questions, and relay information with ease. You are eager to help, dependable, and work well with others.

This is a full-time temporary role (about 7-10 weeks) and starts in October 2026. This role requires you to lift boxes and blocks up to 50lbs. You enjoy working in a team environment and operate safely and efficiently. You are productive who is willing to actively engage in hands‑on work without hesitation!

The life of the Seasonal Nursery Worker includes:

• Load tree blocks onto wagons or conveyors
• Assess seedling quality on a moving conveyor belt
• Perform accurate seedling counts on a moving conveyor belt
• Skillfully bundle seedlings and apply wraps
• Package seedlings neatly into designated boxes
• Palletize boxes for efficient storage
• Dispose of waste materials from wheelbarrows
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

The hourly rate for this position is: $19.77
