Job summary

GOODIES TRADING LTD in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Labourer – metal fabrication who is enthusiastic and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate is expected to start as soon as possible.

The position is permanent and full-time, offering 40 hours per week at $22.50 hourly. Responsibilities include operating metal cleaning equipment, assisting metal workers, sorting materials, grinding or chipping excess metal, cleaning machines and work areas, and loading/unloading

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from metal surfaces.
• Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
• Sort metal sheets, parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
• Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas.
• Load and unload vehicles.
