Job summary

WesTower Communications Ltd. is seeking a full-time permanent Labourer (Layout Person) to join our growing Fabrication Team.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, operating band saws and other equipment, setting up machines, translating drawings into measurements, producing quality parts, marking holes, and assisting welders as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to read a metric tape measure.
• Good work ethic.
• Steel Fabrication experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures.
• Operate band saws, ironworker, radial drill, grinder, and overhead cranes.
• Perform proper setup of machines.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on machines.
• Translate drawings into measurements for production.
• Produce quality parts.
• Mark out holes in Beam/channel/ angle/ plate.
• Tack small mounts and leave for welders.
