Responsibilities

• Perform labour duties as assigned with flexibility to take on evolving tasks.
• Fuel equipment and generators per site safety protocols.
• Maintain site housekeeping and safety standards for an organized work area.
• Assist carpenters with formwork, framing, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Operate jackhammers and pneumatic tools for concrete breaking and demolition.
• Communicate with supervisors, operators, and crew to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Collaborate as a team member while maintaining independence when required.

We are seeking Labourers in Kitimat BC to join our heavy civil construction team on a local, camp-based job. Our projects are fast-paced, physically demanding, and require individuals capable of performing 10-12 hour shifts with consistency and professionalism. The ideal candidate takes direction effectively while demonstrating the ability to work independently. Civil construction labour experience is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned labour duties as instructed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on tasks as project needs evolve
• Fuel equipment and generators in accordance with site safety protocols
• Perform general site maintenance, housekeeping, and cleanup to ensure a safe and organized work environment
• Assist Carpenters with formwork, framing, and other carpentry tasks as required
• Operate jackhammers and pneumatic tools forconcrete breaking and demolition work
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and fellow crew members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Collaborate as a productive team member while maintaining the ability to work independently when required

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Previous heavy civil construction labour experience is considered a strong asset
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing 10-12 hour shifts, with varied shift schedules including 5/2, 6/1, and 14/7 rotations
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team while maintaining the capacity to work independently when required
• Demonstrated willingness to complete and perform tasks as instructed on an as-needed basis
• Fall Protection certification is considered an asset
• Confined Space certification is considered a strong asset
• Valid WorkSafeBC First Aid certificate is considered an asset
• Candidates must supply their own personal PPE including a hard hat, safety boots, and high-visibility vest; all additional PPE will be provided.
• Local candidates are preferred; however, camp accommodation will be provided for those based outside the area.
