Job summary

Lynco is seeking a Labourer to support on industrial and construction sites near Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan. The role requires performing physical tasks, assisting trades, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment under supervision.

You will handle materials, operate basic tools, help with installation and maintenance activities, and participate in site housekeeping while communicating clearly with supervisors and teammates in a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, mining, fabrication facility, and/or construction environments is required.
  • Grade twelve (12) diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  • Valid safety certifications (e.g. H2S, CSTS, WHMIS, Fall protection, Confined Space) depending on site requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract are required.
  • Pre-employment Alcohol & Drug test is required.
  • First Aid certificate is considered an asset.
  • Ticketed to operate equipment (skid steers, telehandlers, forklifts) is an asset.
  • Ability to travel and work on all work sites without restrictions.
  • Ability to understand and execute written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of occupational hazards, signage, PPE, and safety precautions.
  • Ability to work shift work, including overtime; outdoor in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.

  • Load, unload, and move materials using manual or powered equipment.

  • Participate in site housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to Foreperson, the Labourer will be responsible for supporting daily operations on industrial and construction sites by performing a wide range of physical tasks, assisting trades, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

The role involves material handling, equipment setup, site cleanup, tool operation, and assisting with installation and maintenance activities under supervision. The role requires adherence to all safety procedures, active participation in housekeeping efforts, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in various environmental conditions while maintaining effective communication with supervisors and team members.

The incumbent will conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of Lynco, as well as adherence to all established Policies and Procedures.

This temporary project-base full-time, hourly position is located within the Lloydminster region, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
