Job summary

Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for over 50 years in Edmonton and is seeking EXPERIENCED LABOURERS to join our BASE DIVISION for the 2026 construction season.

This seasonal position offers a competitive wage with benefits. Labourer duties include site prep, material placement, base preparation, rubble removal, and working with crew members to meet project specs. A valid driver’s license and a safety-conscious approach are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license and pass a medical/fitness exam.
• Ability to work long hours in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong safety awareness and accountability on site.
• Willingness to collaborate with operators and crew members.

Responsibilities

• Performs general labourer work: digging, shoveling, raking, hammering pins, sweeping, operating small compaction gear, using a concrete chop saw.
• Placement of construction materials (by hand or with equipment).
• Setup, check, and compact granular base materials to meet project specs.
• Remove rubble and debris at construction sites.
• Raise and lower catch basins, manholes, and water valves as required.
• Able to work long hours.

This is a seasonal positions that offers a competitive wage with benefits.

LABOURER’Sprimary duties will include but are not limited to:

• Performs general labourer work: digging, shoveling, raking, hammering pins, sweeping, operating small compaction gear (jumping jacks, tampers, etc.), using a concrete chop saw, and other labour activities associated with constructing the required project.
• Placement of construction materials (by hand or use of equipment)
• Setup, check, and compact granular base materials to meet construction specifications required for the project.
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
• Raise and lower catch basins, manholes, and water valves, as required.
• Able to work long hours.
