Job Responsibilities:

Overview: We are seeking a Labourer / Apprentice Carpenter. The ideal candidate will have basic carpentry skills, including wood framing and finishing. The role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills. You will assist in building and maintaining structures, contribute to commercial projects, and learn under the supervision of a Master Carpenter on site.

Duties:

• Construct, install, and repair structures using wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure work is plumb, level, and square according to requirements.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety.

Skills:

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics related to carpentry tasks.
• Knowledge of wood framing, steel stud, and drywall installations.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills, and levels.
• Basic understanding of rough and finish carpentry techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Language requirements:
