Position: Framer-Carpenter

Location: Calgary, AB

Work setting: Construction, on-site

Salary: $35.50/hour, 32 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time, day shift, start as soon as possible

Minimum requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts conforming to building codes using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials such as wood, lightweight steel, and substitutes
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Schedule and coordinate work on sites
