Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Ponoka, Alberta, is seeking a Labourer for our agriculture location. This entry-level role supports the agriculture service department by cleaning equipment, assisting technicians, and helping keep the shop productive.

You will learn hands-on skills and have the opportunity to pursue an apprenticeship. You will work with the shop team, perform responsibilities safely, and contribute to overall yard and shop maintenance while developing practical trade competencies

Responsibilities

  • Detailing equipment after repairs.
  • Maintain wash bay equipment and cleanliness.
  • Clean parts and components.
  • Clean and maintain yard and shop.
  • Assist in dismantling heavy equipment.
  • Organize equipment in yard and dealership premises.
  • Some inventory maintenance.
  • Assist shop personnel to improve productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Labourer for our Ponoka Agriculture location. This position is responsible for assisting in the agriculture service department. Duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning agricultural equipment and the shop, and working with technicians. The labourer will play a key role in assisting the other personnel to fulfill their duties and increase overall shop productivity. This position is an entry point for someone interested in pursuing an apprenticeship.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Detailing agricultural equipment once the repairs have been completed
  • Maintaining the wash bay equipment and the cleanliness of the wash bay
  • Cleaning parts and components
  • Cleaning and maintaining the yard and shop
  • Assisting in the dismantling of heavy equipment and components
  • Organizing equipment in the yard and maintaining dealership premises (grading, leveling snow removal)
  • Some inventory maintenance
  • Assisting the other shop personnel with fulfilling their duties and increase overall shop productivity
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy duty equipment environment (ie: lifting up to 50 pounds)
  • Capable of working under minimum amount of supervision
