Position Overview

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. (ACSI) is a multi-disciplined construction company offering superior civil, electrical and mechanical services including piping, insulation, scaffolding, and module fabrication. We’re always on the search for exceptional craft candidates to fill our ever-expanding project portfolios. We are focused on hiring only those exceptional individuals who value safety in the workplace and remain committed to the collective goal of maintaining our Aecon ‘zero injury’ culture.

ACSI is seeking experienced Labourers to join our industrial team to support project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cleanup work sites.
  • Move materials and equipment, perform demolition, excavation, compaction activities, remove rubble and debris.
  • Handle and distribute materials (load, unload supplies, equipment, tools to and from work areas).
  • Place, consolidate and protect case-in-place concrete or masonry structures (eg. Shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, mix, pour, and spread concrete; use electric and pneumatic vibrators).
  • Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, showing and barricades.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Experience

  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate
  • Fall Protection – In Class
  • Confined Space Entry - In class
  • Excavating, grading and backfill experience
  • Experience as a Labourer in an industrial construction environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
  • Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.

Project: Red River WWTP

Location: 306 Highland Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R2V 4T8.

Rate: $19.82/hour

Overtime: as per Collective Agreement

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5x2

Camp: NO
