Job description

Studer Spraying Ltd. is a small family owned business specializing in vegetation control in the oil / gas / reclamation industry as well as the wind / solar power industry. We are currently looking for labourers to help out with weed spraying and weed whipping.

Qualifications

Working in the oil industry and / or farming industry is an asset but necessary. Experience weed spraying and operating weed whippers an asset but not necessary. Having the following certifications is necessary to work for us but in certain circumstances we maybe be able to help successful candidates attain them :

Whmis / TDG

First Aid

Valid Drivers License

This is a job that can require long hours and several days in a row. The weather dictates when and how long we work so there is no set schedule. You must be willing to work outside and in the heat.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will perform weed spraying duties which involve driving spray trucks as well as ATV’s. You will operate sprayers and mainly use hand wands to spray unwanted vegetation. You will also be asked to operate weed whippers cutting unwanted vegetation. Possibility of operating large tractor / mower units if the labourer has experience.

Pay Rate

18 minumum but will pay more depend on experience and attitude

Term Of Appointment

May 1 (potentially sooner) and we normally work till mid November. We understand a lot of applicants may be students who return to school in september.
