Job summary

Keyera is hiring a Labourer for our Fort Saskatchewan South facility to provide hands-on maintenance and site support. You will assist with work preparation, equipment operation, site upkeep, and warehouse coverage in a plant environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, outdoor work in varying temperatures, and CMMS/Maximo familiarity. First Aid and H2S certificates are preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to manually handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
  • First Aid and H2S certification.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and use Maximo/CMMS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and maintain focus on repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities and assist with work preparation, materials coordination, and field support.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as telehandler, skid steer, man lift, forklift, and other qualified devices.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, landscaping, drainage, and general site support tasks.
  • Support water drainage and pumping requirements.
  • Assist with inventory management of waste and chemicals per site procedures.
  • Provide support to Warehouse Technician and cover warehouse duties as needed.
  • Assist fleet maintenance coordination and related administrative tasks.
  • Use Maximo and other systems to track work and document records.
  • Build positive relationships with maintenance teams, contractors, and site stakeholders.

Role/Location Specific

THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking a Labourer for our Fort Saskatchewan South facility. Reporting to the Team Lead, Mechanical and Site Services, this role will provide hands‑on maintenance and site support across the facility, including work preparation, mobile equipment operation, site upkeep, warehouse coverage, fleet coordination, drainage support, and general facility support in a plant environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities by assisting facility maintenance teams and third‑party contractors with work preparation, materials coordination, and general field support.
  • Operate mobile equipment, including telehandler, skid steer, man lift, forklift, and other equipment as qualified.
  • Support building and site maintenance activities, including landscaping, vegetation control, general cleanup, and routine facility support tasks.
  • Assist with site water drainage and pumping requirements.
  • Support waste and chemical inventory management activities in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements.
  • Provide support to the Warehouse Technician and assist with warehouse coverage as required.
  • Support fleet maintenance coordination, tracking, and related administrative activities.
  • Use Maximo and other computer systems to support maintenance activities, work tracking, documentation, and records management.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with maintenance teams, contractors, internal customers, and site stakeholders.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and efficient work areas while supporting Keyera’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Operational Excellence objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures and environmental conditions.
  • Ability to manually handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
  • First Aid and H2S certification.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to understand and use computers and CMMS systems, including Maximo.
  • Ability to manage customer relationships in a positive and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain focus while completing repetitive tasks.
  • Previous experience in a similar labourer, roustabout, maintenance support, warehouse, industrial, or plant environment would be considered an asset.
  • Forklift, skid steer, telehandler, and aerial lift operator certification would be considered an asset.
