Job summary

Kindred Construction is seeking committed individuals to perform skilled and general labour for our residential, commercial, tenant improvements and institutional projects in the Lower Mainland. The successful candidate will work under the Site Superintendent with independent judgment on duties and tasks.

Responsibilities include moving materials, assisting carpenters, and using hand tools; qualification in OFA Level 1 is a must or willingness to obtain it, with prior site experience and ability

Qualifications

• OFA Level 1 is required or willingness to obtain.
• Prior experience on construction sites is required.
• Familiarity with materials, tools and site machinery.
• Ability to do strenuous work for long periods.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Kindred Construction is a General Contractor and Construction Manager looking for committed individuals who take pride in their work to perform skilled and general labour services for our steady portfolio of residential and commercial new builds, paired with tenant improvements and institutional projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate must be able to exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in performing assigned duties and will be required to perform miscellaneous skilled and general labour duties as needed by the Site Superintendent.

General labour duties may include:

• Moving construction materials, general site cleanup,
• Assisting carpenters with miscellaneous carpentry tasks
• Use of handtools to cut, measure, or join materials.
• If qualified, using machinery for various construction tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Any level of OFA an asset, willingness to obtain at minimum a Level 1 is a must.
• Previous work experience on construction sites required.
• Familiarity with the materials, tools, and machinery normally used on sites.
• Demonstrated strength and ability to do strenuous work for long periods.
