Job summary

AGAT Laboratories in Canada seeks a detail‑oriented lab support technician to join a dynamic, science‑driven team. You will perform basic laboratory procedures, prepare samples, wash glassware, and support analytical instruments such as IC and ICP under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including sample preparation, reagents, standards, and calibration solutions.
• Provide general lab support such as washing glassware, cleaning workstations, and waste disposal.
• Operate analytical instruments such as IC and ICP under supervision of senior staff.
• Assist with routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate results.
• Perform basic analytical testing and record data per procedures.
• Adhere to laboratory safety, QA, and SOPs.

What you bring to the table:

• Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience
• Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided
• Experience in IC & general lab skills an asset
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail with good organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
