Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for aLaboratory Technician to join our Water Lab. This is an entry-level position where one can gain career experience in a laboratory with direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and other Laboratory team members. The successful candidate will assist with basic laboratory activities. This position will be based from ourCalgarylocation.

The anticipatedend datefor this role will beJune 1st 2026.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
  • Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
  • Operate instruments such as ICP and to perform titrations, with guidance from senior staff performing maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Perform basic analysis.
  • Report results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience
  • Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided
  • Experience in ICP& general lab skills an asset
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
