Job description

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Lab Technician (Tissue Culture) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Gainesville, GA. Details for the position are as follows:

Shift Details:

  • The hours are as follows:
    • Monday: 7am-5pm
    • Tuesday: 7am-4pm
    • Wednesday: 7am-2:30pm
    • Thursday: 7am-5pm
    • Friday: 7am-12:30pm
  • Labs rotate coming in at 6am and some overtime should be expected.
  • There is also rotated weekend work once technicians are trained.
    • It's typically 6am or 7am until 10am on Saturday, and 6am or 7am until 11am on Sunday.
    • The Technicians working the weekend get the prior Wednesday off.

Job Description:

CANNOT OWN OR HAVE CONTACT WITH ANY OTHER BIRDS OR CHICKENS

  • Assists in all areas in the production of Marek's disease vaccine, which may include, but are not limited to:
  • Performing all processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Utilizes sterile technique at all times.
  • Active knowledge of working under laminar flow hoods and HEPA filtered environment.
  • Communicates any occurrence to team leader and/or supervisor immediately.
  • Responsible for keeping the lab area clean and sterile at all times.
  • Individual monthly responsibilities are assigned in each lab.
  • Individual must ensure these activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assists in receiving roller bottles in labs and receiving roller bottles in the holding area.
  • Assists with the candling and racking of eggs in the Incubation department.
  • Maintains accurate and timely manufacturing records.
  • Actively promotes safety and awareness in the lab, always acting in accordance with safety practices.

  • BS
  • Cell Culture (Tissue Culture Preferred)
  • Aseptic Technique

Compensation: $20 an hour
