Havergal College seeks a Laboratory Technician to support its science department. This full-time, permanent position involves preparing labs, maintaining supplies, and assisting students and faculty in a collaborative environment focused on empowering young women in education. Ideal candidates will possess a science degree and strong interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time, permanent position that follows the academic school year calendar.

This role supports the science department faculty by preparing labs, maintaining inventory of equipment and materials, preparing course materials, and assisting in the classroom. The successful candidate will also support students by providing supervision, instruction and assistance inside and outside of regular class, as needed. In addition, the role will entail the maintenance of chemical inventory records, a focus on laboratory safety, the transport of dangerous goods and other types of waste. Regular professional development will be provided to meet changing program and equipment requirements.
