Job summary

Amrize Canada Inc. is seeking a Labor Maintenance role to maintain conveyors, crushers, and related mobile equipment on a portable plant team.

The role requires shift work (days/afternoons/nights) and occasional weekend work, with travel to plant sites as needed. You will implement maintenance processes, uphold Amrize safety standards, and ensure compliance with provincial safety rules while contributing to site efficiency and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain conveyors, crushers, screens and related mobile equipment.
• Lead Amrize safety standards and ensure compliance with safety policies and provincial regulations.
• Schedule and perform daily/weekly/monthly inspections and preventative maintenance; perform repairs as needed.
• Travel with portable plants as required.
• Operate heavy mobile equipment such as rock trucks.
• Maintain overall site housekeeping, including litter control and signage.
• demonstrate commitment to health, safety and environmental policies on all sites.

About The Role

As a member of the portable crushing plant team, the Maintenance/Labourer is responsible for the daily maintenance activity and management for their specific area. The Maintenance position will execute the daily tasks required to maintain the conveyors, crushers, screens, and related mobile equipment. The incumbent will implement internal processes and controls to drive maintenance efficiency and cost optimization while ensuring worker/contractor safety through compliance with Amrize and Provincial Safety legislation, policies and procedures. This position requires shift work (Days/Afternoons/Nights) and occasional weekend work. Travel with the portable plants as required.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Road and ramp maintenance (grading, sanding, berming, snow plowing)
• Operating heavy mobile equipment such as rock truck
• Equipment maintenance
• Overall site housekeeping (littering, fences and signs)
• Implement and lead Amrize safety standard
• Dust control/ Speed control
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections regarding preventative maintenance actions are scheduled and completed. Perform adjustments and clean up on equipment to ensure equipment runs efficiently. Perform repair on equipment as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the site.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s license

Required Work Experience

• +2 years of Industrial/Aggregate plant maintenance and operation experience
• Heavy mobile equipment operation experience is an asset

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
