Job summary

Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services seeks a Laboratory Technologist I for the STR Laboratory in the Western Zone. The role is a temporary full-time position with a scheduled 70 hours per two-week period, covering days, evenings, nights, on-call, standby and weekends.

The successful candidate will have an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology diploma or MLS degree, and must have passed the national examination and hold current NLCHP registration.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology diploma program or a Medical Laboratory Science degree program is required.
• Successful completion of the Medical Laboratory Technologist national examination in the applicable field(s) of practice, as recognized in Canada, is required.
• Proof of current registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals (NLCHP) is required.
