Agilus by Synergie is seeking a Lab Technician III for the Fort St. John, BC area. The role focuses on chemical analyses of process samples, QA/QC, and data reporting to operations at the C-11-K plant.

The position is based in Fort St. John with field travel, a 5/2 schedule, and a requirement to be locally based in British Columbia. The work involves safety-sensitive duties and routine equipment calibration/maintenance.

Qualifications

• Chemistry technology or Laboratory technology degree or diploma.
• Minimum 5 years analytical and QA/QC experience.
• Safety sensitive role with pre-assignment testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting, modification and validation of methods.
• Proven ability to maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Self-starter with strong written and verbal communications; MS Office skills.

Responsabilités

• Support HSE policies and programs in CPC’s Management System.
• Collect process samples in an operating plant following safety precautions.
• Collect multiple samples under supplied air.
• Perform routine tests: pH, turbidity, conductivity, sulfites, chlorides, density, viscosity, BS&W, and High-sensitivity X-ray fluorescence.
• Communicate off-spec sample results clearly and efficiently.
• Utilize, calibrate and maintain equipment: densitometer/viscometer, Automated titrator, centrifuges, XRF Analyzer.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate equipment; perform preventative/corrective maintenance.
• Provide training to operations staff when needed.
• Ensure laboratory is clean, safe and stocked with supplies.
• Interface with Operators, Process and Facility Engineers, and Site Management.
• Stay current with new technologies and test methods for continuous improvement of laboratory function.
