Job summary

Keyera is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to support hydrocarbon analysis at the Fort Saskatchewan facility. You will ensure safe, accurate, and timely testing, data management, and technical support to aid process decisions and product quality.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in chemical technology, laboratory technology, chemistry, process technology, or related discipline.
5+ years of laboratory experience in oil, gas, petrochemical, or similar environment.
Knowledge of NGL processing, hydrocarbon sampling, gas chromatography, and quality control.

Responsibilities

Perform product testing using approved methods (e.g., density, pH, tartaric tests as applicable).
Collect samples from analyzer and routine points for lab analysis.
Interpret process diagrams to support lab activities and troubleshooting.
Prepare and issue laboratory reports with clear test results for process adjustments.
Maintain safety data sheets, identify chemicals, and ensure hazardous material handling compliance.
Schedule and perform equipment maintenance and service of lab instruments.
