Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Lab Assistant to support the chemical, concrete, and mortar laboratories. You will assist technicians, perform analyses, and help manage laboratory and warehouse spaces with careful attention to safety and quality procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to health, safety and environmental policies, and the willingness to learn lab testing protocols on the job. French communication is required, English is optional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and a relevant working experience.
• Demonstrate good analytical and good judgmental skills.
• Be responsible for the maintenance of certain equipment.
• Be able to handle materials and operate basic lab tools.
• Be able to support the staff with manual labor.
• Be stimulated by teamwork, organized, autonomous, and demonstrate initiative.
• Demonstrate ease of adaptation, flexible and open to change, with a desire to learn.
• Honest and reliable.
• Willingness to learn lab testing protocols on the job.
• Ability to express themselves orally in French (English is optional).

Responsibilities

• Support chemical, concrete and mortar laboratory technicians through lab and manual work.
• Perform analyses according to standards (ASTM, AASHTO, CSA).
• Manage laboratories and warehouse spaces.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper use and follow-up.
• Uphold the quality assurance program and safety practices.
