Job summary

Element Materials Technology invites applications for a Login Technician in Edmonton. You will receive and document samples, enter data into LIMS, assign analysis requirements, and create sample labels to support efficient lab processing.

You will prioritize workflow, handle gas and oil samples, and coordinate sample storage and shipping while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies. Strong data entry, organizational skills, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in chemistry or related field or high school diploma with related experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a general service role.
• Working knowledge of laboratory safety preferred.
• Data entry and computer skills required.
• Ability to work independently during parts of the day.
• Ability to re-direct plans to prioritize client samples.
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers.
• Experience with gas and oil samples is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples and document receipt.
• Prioritize samples and workflow to meet lab deadlines.
• Enter sample and client information into LIMS and generate sample labels.
• Distribute samples to the correct storage location.
• Determine internal/external sublet locations and prepare samples for shipping.
• Perform general duties as directed by team leader or operations manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow Health and Safety policies.
