Job summary

LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking a Lab Patient Technician to support specimen collection and testing across its patient service centres in the Toronto area. You will greet patients, perform phlebotomy, ECG tracings, and special test collections while ensuring accurate documentation and privacy.

The role includes travel between Scarborough, Durham Region, Markham, Toronto and North York locations. The position is a Part Time Float with shifts Monday to Saturday, starting ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect information, and explain specimen collection steps.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and ECG tracings.
• Collect special test specimens (drug screens, paternity tests, clinical trials) and document accordingly.
• Maintain client relationships and respond to inquiries and follow-ups.
• Enter patient demographics and requisition information into systems.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.
