Job summary

McGill University invites applications for a part-time anatomy workshop lab helper in the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy. You will support clinicians by demonstrating structures, differentiating anatomy, and preparing quiz materials for student assessment.

The role requires prior human anatomy lab experience, a BSc in Rehabilitation Science (PT or OT), and potential involvement as a tutor or prosector.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy in a lab setting.
• Experience acting as a UCA for ANAT 315/316 is an asset.
• Experience as a prosector or anatomy tutor is beneficial.
• Clinical experience in hand therapy or pelvic floor physiotherapy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical insight on predetermined anatomical structures and discuss potential implications of injury/ degeneration of these structures for specific populations.

Position Summary:

Review cadaveric anatomy with Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) clinicians during a half- day anatomy workshop. Lab helpers will be responsible for one station each

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrate all of the anatomical structures to clinicians with the use of prosections
• Differentiate identified structures from adjacent structures
• Prepare quiz questions and quiz students about the anatomical structures, concerning: attachment points (origin, insertion), innervation (nerve, nerve roots), and function;

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

• BSc in Rehabilitation Science (PT or OT)
• Must have previous laboratory experience in human anatomy on topics relevant to the course description.
• Previous experience as a UCA for ANAT 315/ 316 an asset
• Or previous work as a prosector in the anatomy lab or anatomy tutor
• Clinical experience in hand therapy or pelvic floor physiotherapy
